Trips are an important part of the Year 6 Curriculum with the aim of supporting learning and developing children into confident, independent and socialable individuals before moving on to secondary school.
Our main trip is our Year 6 School Journey to Barton Hall, Torquay in Devon, a residential centre where the children have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of activities such as: abseiling, canoeing, raft building, survival and team building skills. The children are away for a week towards the latter part of the summer term.
In developing our pupils as responsible and caring citizens, the Year group takes part in the Richmond Junior Citizenship day at Holly Lodge in Richmond Park.
Other trips that the children may be involved in include: theatre visits, museum visits, The Nationa Archives and Science workshops.
