Welcome to our Year 1 page! At East Sheen Primary School, Year 1 is a time of exciting discoveries and new adventures. Building on the foundations from Reception, our Year 1 children explore a wide range of engaging topics that spark their curiosity and support their learning journey.

Throughout the year, students investigate subjects like animals, transport, plants, and the natural world, with plenty of hands-on activities, outdoor learning, and real-life experiences. Creative projects such as art, drama, and music allow our children to express themselves and develop their imaginations.

We also love to explore the outdoors, with visits to local parks and engaging in nature-based activities that enhance our understanding of the world. Each day is filled with fun, learning, and new challenges, as we encourage children to think independently and develop key skills for their future.
