Year 6 2016 SATs Results

Outcomes for Children and Learners

We are delighted with our EYFS, Phonics, KS1 and KS2 results which have come at the end of a year full of assessment changes and when the requirement to meet expected standards has been significantly raised at KS1 and KS2.

These results are based on initial, unverified data. To set our results in context, we have included national and Richmond data averages.

Scores of 100+ show the expected standard has been met.

Scores of 110+ show a high level of attainment.

Our average scores are therefore very impressive, showing our average, including data for children with special educational needs, is close to "high attainment" in all subjects.

A school’s progress scores for English reading, English writing and mathematics are calculated as its pupils’ average progress scores. This means that school level progress scores will be presented as positive and negative numbers either side of zero.

• A score of 0 means pupils in this school, on average, do about as well at key stage 2 as those with similar prior attainment nationally.

• A positive score means pupils in this school on average do better at key stage 2 than those with similar prior attainment nationally.

• A negative score means pupils in this school on average do worse at key stage 2 than those with similar prior attainment nationally. A negative score does not necessarily mean a school is below the government floor standard.

We are delighted that all our progress scores are positive.
