Pupil Leadership Team
Our Pupil Leadership Team (PLT) is a dynamic and engaged group of students, elected each year by their peers from Year 2 to Year 6.
At our school, pupil voice is highly valued, and the ideas and feedback from the children play a key role in shaping our school development plan. The PLT meets fortnightly, followed by class meetings to share updates, gather feedback, and discuss actions taken. Team members also participate in Learning Walks with governors, offering insightful observations, which are then recorded and discussed during reflection sessions.
In addition, the PLT has been actively involved in interviewing prospective candidates for leadership positions and engaging with candidates by asking thoughtful questions about our school.
This academic year (2023-24), the PLT has been instrumental in the creation of a new mural for the dining hall. They have gathered suggestions for local landmarks and significant words related to East Sheen Primary School and are collaborating with the design team to finalise the artwork. We are excited to see the mural come to life soon.
The PLT also plays a pivotal role in driving the school’s fundraising initiatives. The team is currently exploring new projects to enhance the student experience and extend our outreach into the wider community.
