We also support particular charities when there is relevance to individuals in our community. We have raised money for the following charities as a result of direct requests:

We have responded to world disaster appeals ( e.g. Haiti Earthquake, Tsunami) and will continue to do so.

2013

Red Nose Day - We raised a fantastic £728 for Red Nose Day.  Everyone had lots of fun dressing up in red and participating in comical activities throughout the day. The day had a brilliant start with every year group entering in to a 'Dance Off'. The winning dance can be seen on the 'Big Events' page. The staff also entertained the audience with a little dance of their own.

 Children leading the way!

These children have all organised events outside school to raise money for charity. We are very proud of their sense of responsibility and the desire to make a difference for others.

'Wear Something Shiny Day'

On October 25th pupils were invited to dress in something shiny and make a contribution towards our link charity, Shine. The pupils looked fantastic in all of their sparkly clothing and raised over £350.

The Shine Centre was very grateful for the wonderful sum of money raised and sent a letter of thanks to the school:

Dear children, teachers and parents of East Sheen primary,

Your 'Wear Something Shiny Day' must have been a lot of fun!

We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you managed to raise £364.86 for The Shine Centre in Cape Town- and I can only imagine how 'shiny' you all looked! What a lovely theme! And a HUGE thank you from us all.

I do hope you can send some photos so we can print them out and put them up on our notice board at St Agnes. We are having our end of year parties this week at St Agnes, so we will send you some photos of that as a swap. This way we can learn from one another!
